Harvest and Quality Control

Adherence to Highest Quality Practices Soleco (Global) Limited has developed the most comprehensive and stringent Quality Control program in the industry to ensure our indigenous African annual and perennial species are cultivated and harvested under optimal conditions, and specific criteria are met to certify the quality of the end product.

Soleco Global Limited would be using modern techniques of cultivation, but without the utilization of chemical pesticides.

The raw plant material would be treated with maximum care, beginning with seeds from the best sources.

For our principal products, quality would be assured with the support of local or international laboratories. Tests would be performed for marker-compounds, according to accepted standards. The timing and technique utilized for harvest and drying would be determined punctually, and with reference to laboratory analysis, in order to achieve optimal results. Process drying would be used, depending on specific requirements.

After harvesting, biomass measurements and species analysis would be performed daily on samples to confirm the harvested biomass are essentially within specification.

These Quality Control procedures utilize established organic methods to reduce disease and bacterial load and provide a final product that meets biofuel industry standards.

All harvesting and processing would be conducted in accordance with the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
